Australian Patience is played with a deck of 52 standard playing cards. The object of the game is to move all cards to the 4 foundations. At the start of the game, 4 cards are dealt to each of the 7 tableau piles facing up, while a single card is dealt to the discard pile. The remaining cards become the stock, which is placed at the top left facing down next to the discard pile , leaving the foundations empty.
