SeeThru
SeeThru is a great tool for customizing the look of your desktop. It allows you to make the background color for the text under icons on the desktop fully or partially transparent, or to change the color by selecting the new one from the available spectrum. I found the resulting contrast, visibility, and usability of the modified icon to be quite satisfactory. It's a great way to make your desktop look more unique. Highly recommended!
